Gay people adopting

It has recently come to my attention that there are many Christians who are against gay marriage and gay people adopting children. I have been thinking this over for some time now and have decided my opinion on the matter. I do not agree with gay marriage. I think marriage is for a man and woman. And honestly that is just a biological reality. But I am not going to stop a gay couple from doing whatever it is they do. Even though I disagree with their marriage I would NEVER disagree with any honest couples pursuit of adoption. Many children need homes and families. If you want to tell me that gay people should not adopt that is fine but I will then expect you to step up and adopt. You can't say that a child should not have a home because the parents don't believe or live as you do! If it is truly bothering you then you should be adopting and encouraging other Christian families to adopt. There are approximately 143,000,000 orphans in the world and there are approximately 2,000,000,000 Christians in the world. If you are a Christian who believes in adoption those numbers should not make sense. There are far more Christians than orphans! Then why are there still orphans?! After all, Christians believe what the Bible says and the Bible says to care for the fatherless over and over again! Psalms ten eighteen is just one verse and it says:
To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more.
But please do not mistake what I am saying. I am not saying that every person or even every Christian is supposed to adopt! We are called to take care of the orphans. God may call some people to take care of them in ways besides adoption! Maybe financially or just making friends with an orphan. But others can be called to adoption. And with 2 billion Christians every body should have their job.
Basically I am saying; Do not ask someone to step down from doing something good unless you are willing to step up and do that good thing yourself.
As a side note this should show that there is no clear answer to some problems. There are too many grey areas to try and box up a situation like this. Ahem. I will call it a story with far more than two sides.
And these are my thoughts! :)
