Rural Boys at 13

There is something about when a boy that was raised in the south and and in the country turns 13. They suddenly go from having a healthy level of interest in John Deere and the civil war to an insane level of obsession! But it seems to only last a year thankfully. Then it goes back down to a normal level. Every thirteen year old boy I know now wants a rebel flag on everything he owns, a gun to shot everything in sight, camo everything (including duct tape), and has more John Deere t-shirts than the tractor supply! I moved out to the country when I was thirteen so I did not know many local boys. But the few I knew were the same way. So this brings to question. . . What happens to city boys at thirteen? Maybe they become obsessed with sports! Oh! And another good question! What was I obsessed with at 13? Easy answer. Cows. I had just started showing cows! The beginning of my immersion into country life! hehe!
